Installation
Connections for AW2
The AW2 system has two connections for terminals and
combined terminals.
Each terminal or combined terminal can have up to 1 sensor
controlled zone, therefore the system supports up to 2
sensor controlled zone (one for each connection).
For connections to Z1 refer to the previous paragraph.
For connections to Z2 refer to the previous paragraph, but:
-
for temperature control use the Room temperature sensor
for zone 2 instead of the user interface
-
set code 66 instead of code 65.

controlled.
The user interface is placed in the fl oor zone (zone 1) and
the room temperature sensor for zone 2 is placed in the fan
coil zone (zone 2).
Sensor controlled terminals
In sensor controlled terminals, the water temperature
depends not only on the outdoor temperature, but also
(in heating mode) on the room temperature. This solution
grants the best comfort and energy effi ciency, as:
-
room temperature setpoint is exactly matched
-
room temperature variations are minimized
-
water temperature (in heating mode) is always the
minimum required to match the setpoint
In terminals controlled by room thermostats, the water
temperature depends only on the outdoor temperature (in
heating mode). To make sure the system is always capable
to increase the room temperature up to the thermostat
setting (in heating mode), the installer should set the
climatic curve higher, compromising on comfort (especially
for fl oor circuits), temperature variations and energy
effi ciency.

On both Z1 and Z2, install the 3W kit when the sensor
controlled terminal is a fl oor terminal.
If sensor controlled terminals are connected to both Z1
and Z2, install the 3W kit where the terminal requiring the
lowest water temperature (in heating mode) is connected;
if temperature requirements are equal install two 3W kits. In
all other cases install the D kit.
