A- MAIN POWER SUPPLY
Connect the main power feed supply cable to the main
isolating switch in the electrical panel.
B- CDU POWER SUPPLY
Connect the CDU to the proper terminal block (see electrical
scheme).
C- CDU COMMUNICATION
Connect the CDU to the proper terminal block (see electrical
scheme).
D- CONEX II USER INTERFACE
(WITH INTEGRATED ROOM TEMPERATURE SENSOR)
Install the Conex II user interface in zone 1 in a place which
is representative of the room temperature. Avoid direct
contact or proximity with heat or cool sources.
Correct height installation is 1.5 m from the ground.
Connect the Conex II to the proper terminal blocks,
taking special care in respecting the polarities of the
communication bus (see electrical scheme).
Note:
Conex II can also be placed on the front panel of the
hydronic module using the fi xation provided.
This solution allows easy parameter setting but is
not recommended for the normal operation, as the
system would not be able to properly control the room
temperature in zone 1.
E- OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR
Install the sensor housing in accordance with the following
rules:
-
minimum height: 2.5 m above ground level
-
avoid positions in direct sunlight, and install preferably on

Connect the outdoor sensor to the proper terminal blocks
(see electrical scheme).
F- ROOM TEMPERATURE SENSOR FOR ZONE 2
The additional room sensor is needed only for 80AW2
modules with 2 zones installed.
Install the sensor housing in zone 2 (while Conex II is
installed in zone 1), in a place which is representative of the
room temperature. Avoid direct contact or proximity with
heat or cool sources.
Correct height installation is 1.5 m from the ground.
Connect the outdoor sensor to the proper terminal blocks
(see electrical scheme).
G- ECONOMY / ANTIFREEZE / FREQUENCY REDUCTION /
EJP / SAd MODE CONTROL
In heating mode, a dry contact (not included) can be used
to change the operating mode from Comfort to ECO or
Antifreeze or Frequency Reduction or EJP or SAd and vice
versa.
In EJP mode, the heating duty is met through the auxiliaries
(typically external boiler), while the CDU is not utilized.
In SAd mode, the system is put in standby.
The signal can be provided, for example, by a time clock
programmer (not included).
Contact closed = Comfort mode.
Contact open = ECO or AntiFreeze or Frequency Reduction
or EJP or SAd (depending on the setting of code 32).
In order to connect the external device, remove, from the
terminal block, the factory fi tted shunt between pins CE and
E13 on the board 2PCB (see electrical scheme).
Connect the external device on the pins to which the shunt
was connected.
