8� Check for proper harness
height and pull any excess
slack up to the child's
shoulder area before
tightening�
9� Slowly pull the adjuster
strap to tighten the harness
around the child�
NOTE: Snugly adjust the belts
provided with this child restraint
around your child. A snug strap
should not allow any slack. It
lies in a relatively straight line
without sagging. It does not
press on the child's flesh or
push the child's body into an
unnatural position. You should
not be able to pinch excess.
10� Fasten the chest clip by
sliding the two halves
together until a click is
heard� Position the chest
clip at the center of the
child's chest, level with the
armpits�

CHECKLIST
Before traveling, verify that the:
ü Harness straps are not twisted�
ü Harness is snug�
ü Buckle is fastened�
ü Chest clip is at the child's armpit level�
IMPORTANT: After the child is secured in the infant car
seat and the car seat is attached to the base, ensure that
the red marker is visible between the two lines on the
recline angle indicator�
