Troubleshooting

Problem: The infant car seat will not
securely attach to the base�
Possible solution: The vehicle belt
buckle stalk may be too long (A)�
Consult your vehicle owner's manual
to see if you can lower the vehicle
buckle position by twisting the vehicle
buckle stalk a maximum of three full
rotations to shorten to appropriate
length (B)�
Be sure the vehicle buckle release is
facing outward after twisting�
Possible solution: Adjust the infant
car seat base to a higher position to avoid any potential
interference with the vehicle belt buckle� Ensure that the
infant car seat recline indicator is in an allowable position
once installed�
Problem: The harness straps do not tighten evenly�
Possible solution: The harness retainer clip (under the seat
cover) is not in the correct location� Remove the seat cover
as shown on page 42 and center the retainer clip�
Problem: The buckle will not fasten with a click after each
tongue is inserted�
Possible solution: There may be debris in the buckle
mechanism� Clean the buckle as described on page 46 and
try fastening the buckle again�
