• Set the electrode gains as low as possible to reduce the risk of malfunctioning due to strong electromagnetic
radiation (e.g. near high-voltage power lines, transmitters, transformers or EAS systems in department
stores).
• Allow the patient to rest during the electrode adjustment to avoid fatigue and thus incorrect electrode
settings (i.e. excess sensitivity).
CAUTION
Improper handling. Any type of improper handling can lead to faulty control or malfunction of the DynamicArm
and result in a risk of injury to the patient.
Use the Patient Information section of this pamphlet (Section 3) to inform your patient about the function and
use of the DynamicArm.
CAUTION
Distance to HF communication devices is too small (e.g. mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, WiFi devices)
Injury due to unexpected behaviour of the product caused by interference with internal data communication.
This can result in a risk of injury.
Therefore, keeping the following minimum distances to these HF communication devices is recommended:
• Mobile phone GSM 850/GSM 900: 0.99 m
• Mobile phone GSM 1800/GSM 1900/UMTS: 0.7 m
• DECT cordless phones incl. base station: 0.35 m
• WiFi (routers, access points,...): 0.22 m
• Bluetooth devices (third-party products not approved by Ottobock): 0.22 m

3 Patient Information

CAUTION
Penetration of dirt and humidity. The penetration of dirt and humidity can lead to faulty control or mal-
function of the DynamicArm and result in a risk of injury to the patient.
Do not allow debris or liquids to get into the DynamicArm.
CAUTION
Mechanical overloading. External mechanical influences or loads, such as impacts and vibration, can
lead to faulty control or malfunction of the DynamicArm and result in a risk of injury to the patient..
• The DynamicArm should not be subjected to mechanical vibrations or impacts.
• Inspect the DynamicArm for visible damage prior to each use.
CAUTION
Thermal overloading. Extreme temperature conditions can lead to faulty control or malfunction of the Dy-
namicArm and result in a risk of injury to the patient.
Avoid areas in which the temperature lies outside the permissible range (see section 14 „Technical Data").
CAUTION
Electromagnetic interference. Proximity to high-voltage power lines, transmitters, transformers or other
sources of strong electromagnetic radiation (e.g. department store EAS systems) can lead to faulty control
or malfunction of the DynamicArm, resulting in a risk of injury to the patient.
Keep away from sources of strong electromagnetic interference.
