Overview of Model 24XST
This equipment is suitable for use in Class I, Div. I, Groups C and
D; Class I, Div. 2, Groups A, B, C and D; Class II, Div. 1, Groups
E, F, and G; Class III, or non-hazardous locations only.
The Model 24XST strobe light is a visual signaling device for haz-
ardous locations and provides about 65 to 75 high-intensity flashes
per minute. The unit is UL Listed for indoor and outdoor use and
has been found to comply with Type 4X (watertight and corrosion
resistant) enclosure requirements and Marine Visual Signal Device,
Outside Type (saltwater).
Unpacking the Light
EXPLOSION HAZARD—Damaged domes can lead to explo-
sions that could result in serious injury or death. Replace
damaged domes.
After unpacking the light, examine it for damage that may have
occurred in transit. If the light has been damaged, do not attempt
to install or operate it. File a claim immediately with the carrier,
stating the extent of the damage. Carefully check all envelopes,
shipping labels, and tags before removing or discarding them.
Disposal of all shipping materials must be carried out in accor-
dance with national and local codes and standards. If any parts are
