9- Put the samples to dry in an oven at 150ºC during 1 hour.
10- Leave them to cool inside the vacuum dryer.
11- Weight the samples with a precision of ±0.1 mg. The weighed
quantity is W
12- Ash crucible samples in a muffle furnace at 500 ºC during a mini-
mum of 3 hours.
13- Leave them inside the vacuum dryer to cool. Take note of the
recommendations given for the crucible handling.
14- Weight the crucibles with a precision of ±0.1 mg. The weighed
quantity is W
15- Carry out the following calculation:

- FRACTIONALLY DETERMINATION:
Required reagents:
- Acid detergent solution (A.D.S): To add 20 g of cethyl trimethyl
ammonium bromure to 1 l of sulphuric acid 1N.
- HBr 48% solution.
- Sulphuric acid solution 72% in weight.
- Foam-suppressor such as octanol.
- Acetone.
Required equipment:
Dosi-Fiber equipment.
Scale ±0.1mg.
Vacuum pump.
«Kitasatos» flask.
Porous crucibles.
Muffle furnace 500ºC.
Oven at 150ºC.
Vacuum dryer.
Procedure:
1- Determinate the A.D.F until the residue W
