Getting started
• Prior to lighting your Gas Cobb, apply a fine layer of a non-stick cooking spray to the Grill Grid surface. Please read
manufacturer's instructions carefully before use.
• Place the Grill Grid onto the inner sleeve.
• Put the Dome Cover onto the Grill Grid and allow to heat up for three minutes.
• Size and weight of the food will determine cooking time of the dish.
• You can fry or grill, with or without the dome cover.
• With steak dishes, it is better to cook with the dome off. However if it is cold and windy, it is better to have the dome
in place. You will learn what works best for you when experiencing the versatility of the Gas Cobb.
• Frozen food must be totally defrosted prior to cooking.
• When roasting with the Fenced Roast Rack (sold separately) it is not necessary to turn food during the cooking period.
• Resist checking the food too often. The more you lift the dome the longer it takes to cook.
• Fish or seafood can be cooked with or without the dome cover.
• When roasting or baking, the dome cover must be on to create an oven affect.
removing the gas canister
• Check that the canister is empty before changing it (shake to hear the noise made by the liquid).
• Check the flames are extinguished before disconnecting the gas canister.
• Unscrew the gas canister in an anti-clockwise direction until it disconnects from the Gas Cobb.
• Dispose of canister in accordance to local environmental guidelines.
Cleaning your Gas Cobb
• Remove the inner sleeve from the Gas Cobb base for cleaning.
• Always keep your Gas Cobb clean as residual fats can ignite.
• Do not use abrasive materials when cleaning the non-stick surfaces.
• Do not place the Cobb in a dishwasher or submerse it into water as this could block the jets.
• Soak the Grill Grid in hot soapy water after cooking and do not use abrasive materials when cleaning (Ensure that the
Grill Grid is cool first, before washing)
storing your Cobb
• The canister must be removed from the Gas Cobb when not in use
• If you store your Gas Cobb for a lengthy period of time, apply a light coat of vegetable oil to all surfaces with the
exception of the jet.
• After a period of storage, the Gas Cobb should be checked for gas leaks and any obstructions in the burner tubes before using.
