Connecting the charger to a battery that is MOUNTED in the vehicle.
• Put AC/DC cables far from moving parts of the vehicle, doors, etc.
• Be careful with the polarity of batteries. The POSITIVE (POS, P, +) terminal is
normally greater than the negative one (NEG, N, -).
• Be sure what is the ground pole (what is connected with the chassis).
Normally the negative pole is grounded.
• Charging a battery with the negative pole grounded: Connect the red cable to the
positive pole of the battery and the black cable to the chassis of the vehicle. Be
sure that the black cable is not in the proximity of the battery, carburetor, fuels
places or fine metallic parts.
• Charging a battery with the positive pole grounded: Connect the black cable to the
negative pole of the battery and the red cable to the chassis of the vehicle. Be sure
that the black cable is not in the proximity of the battery, carburetor, fuels places or
fine metallic parts.
• Before the disconnection of the battery cable turn the charger off or disconnect it
from the AC Supply.
Connecting the charger in a battery that is NOT MOUNTED in the vehicle:
• Be careful with the polarity of batteries. The POSITIVE (POS, P, +) terminal is
normally greater than the negative terminal (NEG, N, -).
• Connect he red cable to the positive pole and the black cable to the negative pole
of the battery. Case wrong connection is made, a protective circuit in the charger
avoid damaging the battery or the charger.
•.When switching the battery off, proceed always in the opposite sequence of
connection.
