7. STARTING AND STOPPING
ATTENTION! Comply scrupulously
with the warnings given in Section 2
above "FUNDAMENTAL SAFETY PRECAU-
TIONS".
WARNING! Only start the chain saw
when this is fully assembled and
complete with bar and chain.
STARTING WITH THE ENGINE COLD
Before start-up, make sure that the chain
brake is disconnected by pulling the lever
(Fig.25) towards the front handle.
1) Rest the chainsaw on a stable surface.
2) Rise the STOP lever (Fig.26 part.1).
3) Pull the air knob down (Fig.27 part.1).
Press the fuel bulb (Primer) fully down
repeatedly (fig. 25 part 1).
4) Fix the chainsaw in position as in Fig.28.
- Check that the air around the bar and
chain is free of all objects.
5) Pull the starter cord handle energetically until
the first cough from the engine (normally not
more than 4 or 5 times).
ATTENTION to the possibility of the
chain moving.
Do NOT start the chainsaw
holding it with the hand alone
