6) Fully press down the air knob (choke) (fig.
29), so that the "THROTTLE ADVANCE"
remains engaged.
7) Continue to pull the starter cord (fig. 28) until
the engine starts.
CAUTION-HAZARD! The cutting chain
moves because the throttle trigger is
partially advanced.

Hold the chainsaw firm (Fig.28) letting the
engine and chain run for at least 15 seconds
(for pre-heating).
8) Using the palm of your hand, press the throttle
trigger lock-out (fig. 30 part. 1) and then press
the throttle trigger (fig. 30 part 2); this way "THE
THROTTLE ADVANCEMENT" will disengage
and the engine will run at minimum speed.

9) Do not use the chainsaw if the chain
moves at the minimum engine setting.
Instead, apply to a service centre for assistance.
10) Do not move or transport the
chainsaw with the engine running. Dur-
ing transport, cover the bar with the protector
provided.
STOPPING THE ENGINE
1) To stop the engine, lower the switch lever to
the "STOP
" position (Fig.26 part. 1)
2) If the chainsaw has been working for a long
time at full load, it is advisable to let the engine
run at minimum speed (lever Fig.28 part. B re-

leased) for some seconds before operating the
"STOP
" switch.
ATTENTION! Accustom yourself to oper-
ating the STOP switch so that you will be
able to act promptly in the event of an emergency.
ATTENTION! The chain continues to
move for a certain time after the throttle
trigger has been released.
STARTING WITH THE ENGINE HOT
1) Raise the switch lever (Fig.26 part.1).
2) Pull the air knob as far as it will go and then
push it in to engage "THROTTLE ADVANCEMENT".
3) Give the starter cord handle a strong pull
until the engine starts (fig. 28).
STARTING WITH THE ENGINE HOT AFTER
REFUELLING
1) If the fuel tank has been emptied completely,
after refuelling follow the instructions given for
"STARTING WITH THE ENGINE COLD ".
ENGINE STOPPED. The engine must ALWAYS
be off while the following operations are
being performed.
# Refuelling
# Topping up the chain oil
# Making checks and repairs
# Cleaning and making adjustments
# Moving from one place to another at the work
site
# Transport
8. USE
- Always hold the equipment firmly with both
hands (Fig. 11).
- Comply with all the rules described in the
previous section "SAFETY".
- Cut with the throttle trigger pressed to the
maximum and make contact with the wood
when the engine has reached full speed.
