B) Connect the "Active" side of the Battery
Brain™ (with 12V/24V printed) to the positive (+)
side using a red positive battery cable extension
(not supplied in the accessory kit).
C) Connect the vehicle red positive (+) cable to
other side (side with no print on it) of the Battery
Brain™.
D) Connect the black ground wire of the Battery
Brain™ to the chassis or directly to the negative
post of the battery.
Using the Side Chassis Mounting Bracket
(purchased separately)
A) Mount the bracket to the vehicle as close to
the battery box using the self tapping screws.
(purchased separately)
B) Mount the Heavy Duty Battery Brain to the
bracket using the nut, bolt and washer.
(not supplied, purchase separately).
STEP 4:
Install Black Engine-On Wire
This wire must be installed to ensure the
Battery Brain™ will not activate while the
engine is running.
Installation of the Engine-On wire will prevent
the Battery Brain™ from disconnecting the bat-
tery while the engine is running even if the volt-
age level drops below 11.8V +/- 100Mili Volts
(12V unit) and 23.7V+/-100Mili Volts (24V unit)
as could be the case with accessories that
reduce the voltage below the threshold level or
in the case of a bad alternator.

A) Locate a wire or fuse that has the 0.5V - 12V
(12V unit) or 0.5V- 32V (24V unit) battery voltage
when the engine is Running and is at 0V when
the engine is not running. The other option is to
connect the wire to the Oil Pressure Unit if it
supplies at least 0.5V.
B) Attach the wire end of the supplied black
engine-on wire to the selected wire or fuse as
located in step "A" above. This may require run-
ning a wire to the interior of the vehicle. An
additional fuse or wire connection may be
required.
C) Slide the connector end of the black engine-
on wire onto the single connector on the Battery
Brain™ that is labeled with "ACC".
STEP 5:
Optional: Red Accessory Bypass Wire
Installation
Installation of the red accessory bypass wire will
provide you with continuous 12V/24V power to
an accessory or accessories at all times
bypassing the Battery Brain™.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
A) Use of this feature will bypass the Battery
Brain™ and may allow the battery voltage to
drop below the minimum charge needed to start
your vehicle.
B) If leaving vehicle for extended period of time
you should disconnect the accessory bypass
wire as accessories may drain the battery com-
pletely.
NOTE: Exact location of the fuse & fuse panel
will differ by manufacturer; consult your owner's
manual or wiring schematic for the vehicle to
locate fuses for the accessories. Amperage for
the bypassed accessory must not exceed
7.5Amps.
C) Locate the fuse that provides power only to
the accessory(s) that you wish to have active at
all times. (You may keep multiple accessories
active up to 7.5 Amps)
D) Attach the exposed end of the red bypass
wire to the fuse or device you wish to have
active on the non active side of the fuse. A fuse
tap connection may be required.
E) Carefully route the wire from the fuse to the
Battery Brain™. A fuse-tap or wire-tap connec-
tion may be required.
F) Attach the connector end of the red bypass
wire onto the "Active" side of the Battery
Brain™ (with 12V/24V printed)

Multi-battery Installation
If your vehicle has a multi-battery configuration,
Battery Brain™ can be mounted to any battery
configuration.
If two batteries are connected in series, to one
primary red positive cable, then only one Battery
Brain™ is required. Follow the installation
instructions as previously stated.
If two or more batteries are connected in paral-
lel, two primary red positive cables feeding the
vehicle, you can A) Rewire all the feeds to one
Battery Brain™ or B) You may require a Battery
Brain™ for each feed; to ensure that the batter-
ies are effectively isolated from the electrical
system once the disconnection threshold is
reached.
If using two Battery Brains™; mount both
Battery Brains™ at the primary positive posts
connected to the Starter, Alternator, ECM or any
accessory device that requires electrical power.
If more than one Battery Brain™ is being used it
is possible to reconnect and disconnect from
one main wired push button.
Press and release the button to connect the
Battery Brain™ and Press and Hold the button
to disconnect the Battery Brain (if one unit has
disconnected and one unit remains connected
by pressing and releasing the push button it will
reconnect all units. If you Press and hold the
push button it will disconnect all units).
