Operation (Continued) —
DO NOT transport equipment or drive
with an empty Hitch Caddy unless
the Hitch Caddy is locked in the stowed position with
the large pin and hairpin clip in place and cargo is
properly secured.
NEvER move your vehicle with the
swing arm extended. Unless the
swing arm is locked against the main arm brace, it will
extend away from the back of the vehicle when it is
driven, which COULD cause a collision or accident.
Unless the jack leg is fully raised into
the outer support stand and secured
with the safety pin, it COULD lower during transport
and cause damage.
DO NOT climb, sit or stand on the
Hitch Caddy at any time. Death or
severe personal injury COULD result.
DO NOT use any part of the Hitch
Caddy to pull or tow anything. This
will void the warranty. Death or severe personal injury
COULD result.

Solution
Clean and lubricate the jack leg to remove accumulated dirt and debris.
1. Lower the jack leg to its farthest extent and apply a mild cleaning solution.
Now raise and lower the jack leg repeatedly, to work out any dirt or debris in
the outer support stand. Repeat, if necessary, until the jack leg is clean.
2. Now dry the jack leg thoroughly and apply a coat of dry silicone lubricant.
Do not use petroleum-based products to clean or
lubricate the jack leg. Petroleum will attract dirt and
dust, which may impede the operation of the jack leg.
3. If problem persists, replace the jack leg bushing using Kit TT115000DS.
Replace the bushings in the pivot bolt.
The bushings may wear down over time, especially with continuous use and
heavier loads. Order replacement kit TT120000DS and follow steps 4 through 6
in the assembly instructions to install them.
