Installation (Continued) —
Assembly Instructions
Read the assembly instructions and
the user's guide completely before
assembling or operating the Hitch Caddy. Failure to
understand how to assemble or operate the Hitch
Caddy COULD cause personal injury or even death.
1. Insert the block and spring inside the stinger on the main
arm brace, so that the hole in the block, and the coils of
the spring on the other side, are both centered over the
corresponding holes on each side of the stinger.

2. Insert the stinger into the vehicle's hitch receiver and line
up the holes on the receiver and stinger.
Always secure the stinger/Hitch
Caddy as close to your vehicle as
possible.
3. Secure the stinger to the receiver with the anti-rattle hitch
pin. First, insert the key into the retainer pin end cap
(see Figure 4) and rotate the key. This will unlock the
anti-rattle hitch pin.
NOTE: To lock the anti-rattle hitch pin, rotate the key in the
opposite direction.
Pull on the retainer pin to disassemble the pin, star
washer, sleeve and end cap (Figure 4). Insert the
retainer pin with star washer so that the pin first goes
through the block, then the spring.
With a 5/8 inch hex wrench, screw the retainer pin in as
far as it will go. Tighten by hand only to 100 ft lbs max.
