05. USING KLIMAX TECHNOLOGY

POWER SUPPLY

The power supply for the child car seat is provided by the 12 V on-board power socket in your
car. This may be located in various places in your car (e.g. boot, centre armrest, cockpit).
Some 12 V on-board voltage sockets are supplied with power only when the car's ignition is
switched on. Please be sure to check this fi rst. To check, insert the plug into the 12 V on-board
power socket in your car (1). You can switch the system on or off using the red button on the plug
(2). (The red button illuminates = on, the red button does not illuminate = off ).

Switch off the power supply manually when the child car seat (or Klimax technology respectively)
is not in use, to prevent the display from lighting up continuously. The power supply for the Klimax
technology switches off automatically after 30 minutes if no child is sitting in the child car seat or
if no pressure is exerted on the pressure sensor.
