2. Proper and appropriate use and
foreseeable misuse ___________________________________
The Parts Cleaner Type M/MD has been designed for cleaning oily and greasy metal parts (e.g.
machine parts, motors and housings) using IBS-Special Cleaners.

2.1. Approved Solvents

Solvents used with this machine must not contain halogenated hydrocarbons and must meet
the following requirements:
• Flash point > 55° , or Flash Point > 40° C
• No danger labels in accordance with the German Hazardous Materials Act, except for
materials labelled only as Xn in connection with R 65 (Harmful: may cause lung damage if
swallowed).
The extended 3-year warranty covering device and pump applies only if IBS Special
NOTICE
Cleaners are used. Before using solvents by other manufacturers you must check
the corresponding EC Material Safety Data Sheet and take advice from the
producer before using them!

2.2. Non-Approved Solvents

The use of highly inflammable and inflammable liquids inside this machine is prohibited.
Exception: Solvents with a flash point > 40° C may be used in conjunction with an
Exhaust Unit. The introduction of liquids with a flash point < 55° C, such as motor
gasoline, is prohibited.
DANGER
Please observe any relevant local and national legal requirements concerning the use of solvents for
parts cleaning.
