UNPACKING YOUR MITER SAW
WARNING
To avoid injury from unexpected starting
or electrical shock, do not plug the power cord into a
source of power during unpacking and assembly. This
cord must remain unplugged whenever you are working
on the saw.
1. Open carton. Remove top half of packing foam from
carton.
2. Grasp miter saw by the carrying handle and lift saw out
of carton. Rest saw in vertical position on its support
base on a secure stationary work surface.
IMPORTANT: Do not lift miter saw by the trigger switch
handle. It may cause misalignment. Lift miter saw only
by the carrying handle.

3. Remove the saw from support base. To remove, grasp saw
by carrying handle. Tilt motor side of saw back to raise
table side out of support base. Lift saw completely free
from support base. Lay saw flat with blade and fence side
facing up on a secure, stationary surface.
4. Separate all parts from the packing material. Check each
one with the illustration to make certain all items are
accounted for before discarding any packing material.
