Fuse replacement

Patient hazard, equipment malfunction
and damage –
The replacement of fuses must be
referred to specialists as defined in IEC
60364 or other applicable standards
(e.g. biomedical technicians, electricians,
electronics installers).
Use only fuses of the type T2A
H250Vac.
• Before replacing fuses, turn off the power
switch (43) of the ARTROMOT®-S4 and
disconnect the device from the power
line.
• Use an appropriate tool to release and
remove the fuse holder (44) situated
between the power switch (43) and the
power connector (42) (Fig. 1).
• Replace the fuses and reinsert the fuse
holder (Fig. 2). Check that the fuse holder
locks properly into place.

6.3 Transport

The following adjustments need to be car-
ried out to prepare the ARTROMOT®-S4 for
transport:
6.3.1 Within buildings –
assembled
1. Set motor A to 30° in anteversion (similar
to "New Patient" setting).
2. Turn off the ARTROMOT®-S4 power
switch (43).
3. Disconnect the power cord (42) from the
wall outlet and from the device, roll it up
and place it on the seat.
4. Using the height adjustment unit (8),set
the height of the motion element to 12 at
minimum.
5. Open the clamping levers for adjustment
of the upper arm length (16) and forearm
length (23) and adjust the minimum
length. Close the clamping levers again.
6. Turn the headrest (28) by 90° so that
it points downward. Open the thumb-
screw that secures the motion element
on the system rack (33), turn the motion
element by about 45° toward the inside,
then tighten the thumbscrew to fix the
motion element in this position.
7. Set the width of the armrest for the
healthy arm (5) to the minimum position.
8. Rotate the armrest toward the inside
over the seat of the chair as far as
possible.
9. Holding the system rack in the upper sec-
tion, tip the chair towards yourself until
the wheels touch the floor and get a grip.
10. Push the CPM device forward and trans-
fer it to its new location.
11. Put it into service again by performing
steps 2 to 8 in reverse order (also refer to:
4.2).
