6.3.2.1 Disassembly
1. Activate the "transport setting" function
in the menu (also refer to 5.3).
The display will show the preparations
for transport in an interactive manner.
Follow the instructions and set the CPM
device to the transport position. Each
time you confirm completion of a step
with "OK", the next step is automatically
displayed.
These are the steps:
a. Open the clamping lever for adjusting
the length of the forearm support (26)
and remove it. Leave the clamping
lever open.
b. Perform adjustment
elbow angle of 90°.
c. Perform adjustment
upper arm length to 4.
d. You will be prompted to start the func-
tion. Press START: the motors of the
ARTROMOT®-S4 move automatically
to the transport position.
2. Turn off the ARTROMOT®-S4 power
switch (43).
3. Remove the power cord (42), discon-
nect the motion element (40/41) and the
programming unit (40/41).
4. Open the clamping lever for adjusting the
height of the armrest for the healthy arm
(5) and remove the part.
5. Open the locking screw for adjusting the
width of the armrest for the healthy arm
(6) and remove.
6. Open the thumbscrew (33) that secures
the motion element on the system rack
and remove.
7. Unwind the crank handle for adjusting
the depth of the backrest (19) and remove
it from the system rack: first, it separates
from the backrest (36 – clip closure), then
you can remove it from the rack. Fold the
backrest forward.
8. Open the thumbscrew that secures the
system rack (45) on the chair and remove
the system rack.

9. Remove the two locking pins.
10. Pull the chair legs out to the side.
11. Turn the seat around once.
12. Fasten the red strap around the seat and
the folded backrest so that the backrest
is secured to the seat, and put the chair
legs back on.
