Installation - Pre-Assembled
Use the following instructions if Compass Power Mount Hardware is already assembled and attached to the back
support. For all Acta-Series and Tru-Shape back supports.
Compass Power Mount Hardware is usually provided pre-
assembled, attached to the back support, and ready for use with
the wheelchair designated during the ordering process. If the
assembly is not ready for installation due to any of the reasons
shown below, follow the instructions specified before continuing
with the installation process.
Issue
The hardware assembly is not
attached to a back support.
The hardware is not configured
for the power wheelchair.
The hardware assembly
requires posterior depth
adjustment.
Parts are being replaced.
The hardware has binding
issues.
IMPORTANT! The back support shell is shown without a
cover. The cover should be on the back support during
installation.
WARNING: DROPPING RISK: To avoid risk of personal
injury or damage to the product, make sure to support the
mounting bracket while releasing, as it may slide easily, and will
drop if unsupported.
1 Flip the release levers (A) out on both sides of the hardware
assembly to release the mounting bracket (B).
2 Slide the mounting bracket (B) down and set the back
support (C) with the remaining hardware aside. See the next
page to verify orientation of the mounting bracket (B) and to
make sure it is set up for installation on the desired power
wheelchair.
