Recording
Digital recorder (dr+)
You can record programmes you want to watch later using a Digital Recorder.
Recording can be started/stopped manually, which can be conveniently done via the programme guide (EPG).
If additional languages are being transmitted for a DVB broadcast, these will also be recorded. DVB subtitles can also be recorded.
While recording a TV programme, you can watch previous recordings, switch to another input source or launch any application. However,
if you decide to switch to another channel on the tuner from which you are recording, the recording will have to be interrupted.
Note: Only digital channels can be recorded.
Recording via Programme information
To start recording the programme you are currently watching, press
programme you are currently watching. Press the OK button again and the [Schedule Recording] menu is displayed.
Recording via Programme Guide
Open the Programme Guide by pressing the
pressing the blue button will bring up the next day's guide and the yellow button will take you back to the previous day's guide. After
selecting the programme to be recorded, press OK to open the detailed information. Select [DR+] and press the OK button to display the
[Recording Schedule] menu.
[Schedule Recording] menu
In this menu you can set the recording details.
[Recording mode] – Select the type of recording.
[Manual Stop] – Recording starts immediately after the recording setup is complete. The end of recording is not defined in this option.
Recording will only be terminated by manual user intervention or when the hard drive space is exhausted.
[Time] – Recording will start and end at the time defined by the user.
[Start Time] – Set the time when the recording will start.
[End time] – Set the time when the recording will end.
[Programme] – Record the specified programme. Recording will start and stop based on the timing information obtained from the
electronic programme guide.
[Repeat] – Option to decide whether the recording should be a one-time or periodic. Only available for [Time] and [Programme] recording
modes.
[Once] – One-time recording.
[Daily] – Repeated recording of the programme or during the selected time each day.
[Mon to Fri] – Repeated recording of the programme or during the selected time on weekdays.
[Sat to Sun] – Repeated recording of the programme or during the selected time on the weekend.
[Weekly] – Here you have the option to specify the days of the week on which to repeat the recording on a weekly basis.
When you have completed the settings for recording, select [Save] to save the settings.
Standby recording
When you press
button to turn off the TV while recording is in progress, a menu appears asking you to confirm the next action:
[Cancel] – Return to watching TV and continue recording.
[Power Off] – The TV turns off and the recording stops. The recording up to this point is saved to a storage drive.
[Standby recording] – The TV turns off, and recording continues in the background.
If you have scheduled recording for a time when the TV is turned off, recording will start even if the TV is in standby mode. The TV will remain
in standby mode, and you can recognize a recording in progress by the red LED on the bottom of the TV.
Note: Never unplug the TV from the power outlet while recording. You may lose the recorded content or damage the storage drive!
Setting an additional recording start/end time
It is possible to start the scheduled recording earlier or end the recording later to compensate for possible programme delays caused by
commercials.
