Safety Notice
Caution Read Manual Symbol
This symbol indicates that all operators must read the instrument's IFU and operation manuals for
an explanation of the Caution or Warning.
Biohazard Symbol
This is the international symbol for biohazardous material. This label indicates the use of
biohazardous materials in the area such as sample probes, mixer bars, sample racks, cuvettes, a
sample probe wash well, and so forth. Use caution when working with possible infectious samples.
Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, eye shields, and lab coats. Handle and
dispose of biohazardous materials according to your laboratory procedures.
Moving Parts Symbol
The Moving Parts Symbol indicates that there are moving parts in the area and that the system
should be operated only when all covers are in place and caution is used to reduce risks of personal
injury. Failure to properly seat covers could lead to erroneous results. Moving parts may include the
sample probe, reagent probes, parts of the syringes, mixer bars, and so forth.
Laser Radiation Symbol
The Laser Radiation Symbol indicates that there may be laser light radiation in the area. Take
precautions to prevent exposure.
