Please read these instructions carefully to ensure optimum performance and safe usage of this
appliance. When unpacking, please check to ensure that all the above listed parts have been
included.

Safety regulations
All electrical appliances used must be connected to an emergency cut-off switch set to 30 mA.
Make sure that the mains voltage corresponds to the voltage on the label affixed to the unit or
printed on the plug. This appliance is intended for indoor use only and is designed for water
temperatures up to 35°C. Do not use this appliance with corrosive or abrasive liquids. Before
connecting to the mains supply make sure the cable and the appliance are not damaged in any
way. The power cable cannot be replaced or repaired, if damaged, replace the whole unit. Do not
operate the appliance without water to avoid damages to the impeller. Do not use the appliance for
any purpose other than those described above. Before handling or touching the power cable
disconnect from the mains. Do not handle the power cable and plug with wet hands. If the plug or
power socket get wet, shut-off the mains before disconnecting the cable. Keep this appliance far
from heat sources. To avoid the plug or socket from getting wet due to dripping water, we suggest
bending the cable under the level of the power socket (see Fig A). Do not lift the appliance by its
cable This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the
appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
Electrical safety standards for Class II appliances
The Class II filter has a twin cable, double insulation and is not provided with an earthling
conductor.
Installation
Caution:
before performing any type of aquarium maintenance always disconnect all electrical
equipment from the mains, installed both inside or outside your tank.
Unlock the pump head by opening the locking clips and lift it off the filter body (see Fig.B). Take
out each filter media, rinse them thoroughly under running water and place them in the initial
position (the filter sponge with the hole upwards). Do not use soap or cleaning detergents.
Assembly the intake and outlet tubes fittings separately, connect them to the flexible hoses and fix
them with the lock nuts. Fix the hoses to the inside wall of the tank. The outlet assembly can end
