DUO plus child seat
Without ISOFIX fastening (universal)
(1) Only approved in accordance with
ECE R 16 or GB 14166 (or compara-
ble standard), recognizable by the
"E" or "CCC" marking on the approv-
al label on the seat belt.
(2) Use only permissible on a rearward
facing vehicle seat (for instance in a
van/minibus) which is also
approved for the transport of adults.
No airbags must act upon the seat.
(3) If there is a front-passenger front
airbag: slide the vehicle seat well
back; additionally, follow the in-
structions in the
vehicle manual.
(4) Use is only possible if the vehicle
seat is equipped with a lap-shoulder
belt.
(5) The use of a lap belt alone substan-
tially increases
the risk of injuring your child in an
accident.
Please observe the general recommenda-
tions in your vehicle manual for the use of
child seats, especially with regard to airbags.

After adjusting the shoulder belts (see Ad-
justing the shoulder belts page 47) fasten
the child seat with ISOFIX as follows:
Preparing ISOFIX
1. Clip the two insertion guides* 1 to the
two ISOFIX fastening points 28 of the
vehicle seat (between seat and back-
rest). The cutout must point upwards.

2. Using the green handle 2, pull the two
connectors 3 as far as they will go.

* Insertion guides are already installed as
standard in some vehicle model series.
The insertion guides make it easier to fit the
child seat with ISOFIX and avoid damage to
the seat cover. They should be removed
when not in use and kept in a safe place. In
vehicles with down backrests, the insertion
guides must be removed before folding
down the backrest.
