SURFACE MOUNTING
With power disconnected to the electrical box, remove the existing fixture. Make a sketch of how the
current fixture is wired (by wire color or mark the wires with masking tape and a pencil so you will
know how to properly reconnect the wires to the new LED light fixture. Also, open one side of the end
cap by screwing off the two screws, remove the waterproof connector and linking cable of the new
fixture before the surface mounting.
Installing the U brackets:
1
• Hold the U brackets (D) up to the mounting surface to determine the mounting position.
NOTE: The U brackets (D) should be positioned 33 inches apart.
• Mark the screw positions for the U brackets (D) on the mounting surface.
• Drill two 1/8 in. pilot holes into the screw locations marked on the ceiling. You can also use an
awl or nail to dimple the screw holes.
• Install a drywall anchor (C) in each drilled mounting hole.
• Insert two mounting screws (B) through the U bracket (D) and into the drywall anchors (C) installed
in the mounting surface.
• Tighten each mounting screw (B) to secure the U bracket (D) to the mounting surface.
• Repeat the installation for the second U bracket (D).
Completing the installation

• Snap the fixture body into the U brackets (D) installed on the

mounting surface..

• Feed the electrical connection wires through the open hole of the
end cap.
• Connect the hot and neutral (black and white) wires from the
fixture body to the same color wires from the electrical box using
the wirenuts.

wire from the electrical box using the wirenuts.
• Wrap the wirenuts with electrical tape for a more secure
connection.
