5. Commissioning, operation
To take the reference isochors into account, the calibration pressure (5) must be
entered. The calibration pressure is often marked on the instrument. (e.g. as Pcal, Pc or
similar).
As a rule, Bourdon tube pressure gauge based gas density monitors (e.g.
model GDM-100) are specified with relative accuracies and bellows system based gas
density monitors (e.g. model GDM-RC-100) with absolute accuracies.
Care must be taken to enter the correct measuring range (1), especially for instruments
EN
with a class accuracy (e.g. class 1 for model GDM-100).
This is important, as the relative accuracy (e. g. 2.5 %) always refers to the full scale
value (e. g. 10 bar) (3).
The absolute deviation during a recalibration must not exceed ±250 mbar in this example.
The accuracy parameter (4) can be changed from % to an absolute value.
The model ACS-10 has also been designed for gas density monitors monitoring
alternative mixed gases. Usually, SF₆ gas is used as insulation gas at 100 %. Other gas
mixtures (2) can also be selected.
