is not sufficient light transmitted to the sensors and inaccurate measurements occur. Make sure to
select the probe with the correct path length.
• 5 mm path—Clean and clear water applications, such as drinking water effluent, tertiary (filtered)
wastewater and clear industrial waters
• 2 mm path—Dirty and cloudy water applications, such as wastewater mixed liquor, wastewater
BNR systems, secondary wastewater effluent and raw drinking water
• 1 mm path— High solids and sludge applications, such as wastewater above 4000 mg/L TSS
industrial waters with high solids content and high nitrate and/or nitrite contents
Note: The manufacturer recommends a matrix calibration is done before operation (NT3200sc only) to get a correct
measurement of the mixed NO
