USE AND ADJUSTMENT
Before starting to use the unit, it is necessary to clean it carefully inside and out, as described in paragraph 5 below. For
correct humidification during the incubation phase, pour warm water into the basin provided and place it on the bottom, to
the left of the hatching tray; remember that depending on the humidity level, the other two basins provided may or may
not have to be used. To start the machine, connect the plug to the power supply, activate the machine by pressing the
general switch 0/I and, before introducing the eggs, wait for the incubator to reach the operating temperature of 37,7° C
(99,7° F). The internal lighting of the machine (which must be switched off during operation) is controlled by the switch
located on the control panel.
IMPORTANT: Make sure that the trays are well inserted in their housings so as not to obstruct the movement of the entire
structure that holds the trays. Once the operating temperature has been reached (99.7° F), take out the incubation trays
and gradually position the eggs ready for incubation, with the tip facing down.2 Then put the loaded baskets back in.3; to
facilitate the extraction of the trays, first unlock the egg turning mechanism, acting as shown in figure 1 on the joint. Then
replace the key so that the automatic turning mechanism is activated again.
IMPORTANT: Remember that two days before the birth, the eggs must be transferred to the lower case to
begin the hatching period. The eggs must be placed in incubation from the third day and not before the
eighth day. In order to guarantee a constant and homogeneous air flow to all the eggs, it is advisable to
change once a week the egg trays and turn them in order to change completely the position of the eggs
inside the incubator.
OPERATION AND CALIBRATION OF THE THERMOREGULATOR MOD. FIEM DIG.1
The digital thermoregulator is located on the control panel and is factory set at 37.7° C. When the FIEM
DIG.1 is switched on, the display shows the temperature inside the machine; the red light (out 1) indicates
that the heating is on. We recommend that you always check the temperature of the door thermometer,
which should indicate precisely 99.7° F. To change the temperature memorized by the thermostat proceed
as follows
- display the operating temperature set by the manufacturer, by pressing the set button; the temperature
displayed should be 37.7°C (36.1
°C ostrich only)
- to change the value, press the "INCREASE" or "DECREASE" button and save by pressing the set button
within 10 seconds
- to display the second temperature, press the set button, modify with the "INCREASE" and "DECREASE"
buttons and save with the set button within 10 seconds.
PROGRAMMING THE PARAMETERS
Press the "DECREASE" button and then the set button, holding them down for about 2-3 seconds. You must
have access to the parameter programming; to select the various parameters in the menu use the
"INCREASE" and "DECREASE" keys;
