wise.
10. Maintain petrol tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts,
breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the petrol tool's op-
eration. If damaged, have the petrol tool repaired before use. Many accidents
are caused by poorly maintained petrol tools.
Put safety first in the case of fire:
1. If fire comes from the engine or smoke appears from any other than the exhaust
vent, first distance yourself from the product to ensure your physical safety.
2. Use a dry powder fire extinguisher on the fire to prevent it from spreading.

PREPARATION
1. Thoroughly inspect the area where the machine is to be used and remove all ob-
jects which can be thrown by the machine, such as stones, toys, sticks and wires.
2. Do not operate this machine in explosive atmospheres, such as on the presence
of flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Machine creates sparks which may ignite
the dust or fumes.
3. Keep children and bystanders away while operating the machine. Distractions
can cause loss of control.
4. Before using, always visually inspect to see that the blade, blade bolt and the
blade assembly are not worn or damaged. Replace worn or damaged compo-
nents in sets to preserve balance. Replace damaged or unreadable labels.
5. Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the machine on. A wrench or
a key that is left attached to a rotating part of the machine may result in per-
sonal injury.
6. Use safety equipment. Always wear eye and hearing protection and non-skid
safety shoes. Wear a dust mask in a dry environment.
7. Avoid wearing clothing that is loose fitting or that has hanging cords or ties.
Undo your jewellery.
8. Tie, knot and cover long hair. It could be caught in the rotating blade otherwise,
resulting in serious injury or death.
