Check covers and guards for damage
and that they are sitting correctly. Re-
place if necessary.
Replacing the Air Filter
Do not operate the equipment
without the air filter otherwise dust
and dirt will get into the engine and
result in damage to the machine
1. Disconnect the spark plug con-
nector (
plug by simultaneously pulling
and turning.
2. Release the screw at the air fil-
ter cover (14) and flip open the
cover
3. Remove air filter (13).
4. Replace a defective air filter
with a new filter (see "Spare
Parts").
5. To install, place new air filter
(13) into the air filter cover (14)
6. Close the air filter cover and
fasten screw again.
Change / adjust spark plug
A worn spark plug or a spark gap
that is too large will result in a re-
duction of engine performance.
1. Disconnect the spark plug con-
nector (
plug by simultaneously pulling
and turning.
2. Unscrew spark plug (30) coun-
ter clockwise with spark plug
socket.
3. Check the spark gap using a
feeler gauge (available from
specialist shops). The spark gap
must be at least 0.75 mm.

4. If necessary, adjust the gap by
carefully bending the ground
electrode on the spark plug.
5. Clean the spark plug with a wire
brush.
6. Insert the cleaned and adjusted
spark plug or replace a dam-
aged spark plug with a new one
(Torch F5RTC) (recommended
torque 20 Nm, determined with
a torque wrench).
Changing the Engine Oil
For oil change, tilt equipment back-
ward with handlebar. Do not place
equipment on side to prevent oper-
ating liquids from leaking.
• Change the engine oil for the
first time after around 5 operat-
ing hours then every 50 operat-
ing hours or annually.
• Change the engine oil when the
engine is warm.
• Dispose of the used oil in an
ecofriendly manner (see "dis-
posal / environmental protec-
tion").
1. Remove the spark plug terminal .
2. Open oil drainage screw (internal
square socket) at the base of the
equipment.
3. Drain the motor oil into a suitable con-
tainer.
4. Wipe up spilled motor oil and refasten
oil drainage screw.
5. Place equipment upright and refill mo-
tor oil (see „Initial Operation").
