4.2. Legrests
4.2.1. Foot plate foldable
The BX 11 is equipped with a continuous, fold-down foot plate (Fig.
08).
You can fold up the foot plate to the side, adjust the angle and set it to

the lower leg length of the user.
Fold the foot plate up and down
•
Reach under the foot plate and fold it up sideways (Fig. 09).
•
As soon as you are sitting in the wheelchair, fold down the footpla-
te again. Then press the footplate down until you hear it click into
place.

Adjusting the legrest length
The foot plate can be adjusted 8 times in 15 mm steps to the lower leg
length adjustable.
•
To do this, remove both hexagon socket screws on the leg support
tube (inside and outside) and adjust to the desired length (Fig. 10).
•
Tighten the screws again.

The angle of the foot plate can be adjusted (Fig. 11):
•
Unscrew the hexagon socket screw.
•
Rotate the sprocket to adjust the angle of the footplate to the

desired position
•
Tighten the screw again.

4.2.2. Legrests can be swivelled
down
The BX 11 S is equipped with removable leg supports (Fig. 12). You can
individually fold up the foot plates to the side, adjust the angle and set
them to the lower leg length of the user. You can remove the legrests
without tools, swivel them away and then reassemble.
Fitting the leg rests
•
Hold the leg support by the upper part so that it points outwards.
•
Insert the leg support with the guide profile into the frame hole
(Fig. 13).
•
Swivel the legrest forward until it clearly audibly engages (Fig. 13).
•
Fold down the foot plate if necessary.
•
Swivel away and remove the legrests
To make it easier for you to get in and out of your folding wheelchair,
you can swing the leg supports outwards or inwards without having to
remove them.
•
fold up the foot plates if necessary.
•
pull the handle upwards (Fig. 14) and pull the legrest upwards.
•
swivel outwards (Fig. 15).
•
In the outward position, the legrest can be pulled out upwards (Fig.
15).
Before you set off, refit the legrests as described above.
Never climb onto the footplate!
