TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
The electric zero turn
mower fails to drive when
the accelerator pedal is
depressed.
CAUSE
◾
The combined Ah of the inserted batteries is less
than 15Ah.
◾
The parking-brake pedal is set in the braking
position.
◾
The both left and right paddles are not briefly
pulled toward the operator to make the mower
status indicator shine green when starting the
mower.
◾
The operator is not sitting on the seat.
◾
The seat safety interlock system is not connected
properly.
◾
Under extreme cold weather, the driving function
may not start successfully due to the low
temperature protection.
◾
The travel path of the accelerator pedal is clogged
with debris.
◾
Failure of mechanical or electronic components of
the accelerator pedal.
56-VOLT LITHIUM-ION ELECTRIC ZERO TURN MOWER — ZT4200S/ZT4200S-FC
SOLUTION
◾
In order to start this mower, EGO batteries totaling
15Ah (2 X BA4200/BA4200T) or more are required.
For best performance, we recommend use of EGO
batteries that total 30Ah or more.
◾
Fully depress the parking-brake pedal to release it
from the braking position.
◾
Pull BOTH left and right paddles toward the operator
simultaneously and then release. The mower status
indicator will shine green, which means the mower is
ready to start.
◾
Only when the operator is properly sitting on the seat,
can he or she operate the mower.
◾
Remove the battery from the mower and disassemble
the seat in the reverse order of the instructions in
section "INSTALLING THE SEAT" in this manual to
make sure that the cable plug is properly connected
to the socket on the bottom of the seat. Reassemble
the seat and follow the instructions in "STARTING
THE ELECTRIC ZERO TURN MOWER" to restart the
mower to see if the mower can be started. If not,
contact a qualified service technician for repair.
◾
Always store the mower and battery in warm
environment. Restart the mower when it is warmed
up. Please do not make repeated attempts under
extreme cold weather which may damage the
machine. Recommended operating temperature is
32°F–104°F (0°C–40°C).
◾
Check and remove the debris.
◾
