4. Fastening screws
Type A (plastic) - plug the fastening screw onto the temperature sen-
sor.
Type B (brass) - insert the temperature sensor in the fastening screw
and place the sensor in the mounting pin. Press in the dowel pin com-
pletely and remove the mounting pin.
5. Insert the temperature sensor with the securing fitting in the ball
valve and manually tighten (2-3 Nm).
4.2 Installation in a pocket
It is recommended that temperature sensors for DN25 rated sizes or smal-
ler are only fitted in new installations such that they are directly immersed.
This ensures higher measuring accuracy.

Power supply
5.1 Battery
A 3.6 VDC lithium battery is fitted in the standard version.
The battery must not be recharged or short-circuited.
Ambient temperatures below 35 °C have a positive effect on battery
lifetime.
Used batteries must be disposed of at suitable waste collection
points! Caution: Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an
incorrect type.
5.2 Power supply unit
Power supply units of 24V AC or 230V AC can be changed or supple-
mented at any time.
It is strictly necessary to have the protective safety cover ins-
talled at all times.
Under no circumstances connect between the two phases other-
wise the power supply unit will be destroyed.
The cable is to be fused at max. 6A and protected against tampering.
The power supply unit notifies the meter if mains voltage is present.
If the power supply fails, the backup battery (CR2032) provides the
power supply for up to 1 year. The LCD readings (on pressing button)
