Galvanometer with 6 scales:
- 1 "dB étalés" (expanded dB) scale from 0 to 2.5 dB and 1 scale from 0 to 10 dB (square law)
- 1 "ROS étalé" (expanded SWR) scale from 1 to 1.3 and 2 SWR scales from 1 to 4 and from 3.2 to 10
- 1 linear scale graduated from 0 to 100 for locating the position of the pointer (e.g.: to be used as
zero indicator)
Female BNC input connector
Switching between " expanded dB " and dB (0 to 10 dB)
Gain controls (coarse and fine) enabling reset/calibration of the indicator
Keyboard for controlling the main 0 to 60 dB attenuator, by 10 dB jumps
Control of the tuning frequency by adjusting to the maximum deviation of the galvanometer

Rear panel

On the rear panel, there is the mains socket containing the mains input, the "115 / 230 V" selector switch,
the protective fuses and the mains filter (see § 3.1 below).
3.1

Bringing the instrument into operation

n When the instrument is delivered, the -supply voltage selector is set to "230V". This means
that the voltage of the AC network must be checked and, if necessary, the voltage selector
must be reset before connecting the instrument to the AC network.
Spare fuse
The instrument is designed to operate on a network in which the voltage may vary by ±10% of the
value displayed on the distributor. When this voltage is constantly outside this range, you are advised
to install an adjustable autotransformer in the power supply network in order to return the voltage to
the nominal value.
If the instrument is used with a mains voltage of 115 V, when you switch from 230 V to 115 V, do
not forget to replace the "230 V" fuse with the "115 V" fuse stored in the reserve slot to the left
of the mains selector (see § 5.1 Fuse replacement).
Keep to the value and type of the fuses to avoid damaging the instrument and nullifying the
guarantee.
