Tighten the fastening screws so that the position of the comb plate
can be moved by hand. Rotate the machine. A properly seated comb plate
should extend about 1.5-2 mm beyond the tip of the upper blade (IV).
Adjust the position of the blades and comb plate. Tighten the
mounting bolts.
Verify that the position of the blades and comb plate are correctly
adjusted. Then proceed to adjust the pressure of the cutting head blades
(see section 3.3.1).
C. SHARPENING THE CUTTING HEAD BLADES
Work only with sharp cutting head blades. Any parts with loss or poor
cutting properties should be replaced immediately. Re-honing of the
cutting parts of the machine can be performed on specialized machines by
