6.1
Battery replacement
!
The FSA 050 is not to be switched on with the bat-
tery cover removed. Always disconnect the measu-
rement leads before removing the battery cover. Do
not press <TE�T> during battery replacement.
1. Switch off the FSA 050. Remove the measurement
leads and rubber cover (Fig. 1, Pos. 7).
2. Remove the battery cover screws (2x) and detach
the battery cover.
3. Carefully remove the flat batteries and fit new ones,
taking care to ensure correct polarity.

If correct polarity is not ensured on fitting the bat-
teries, the FSA 050 may be damaged. If the battery
charge indicator does not show any fully charged
batteries after battery replacement, one battery may
have been fitted with incorrect polarity.

Always fit five new batteries. When replacing, use
the battery types 5 x IEC LR6 (AA, MN1500, HP7,
AM3 R6HP) alkaline or rechargeable NiMH.
4. Re-attach the battery cover and secure with the
screws.
5. Re-attach the rubber cover.

The batteries should be removed if the FSA 050 is
not to be used for a lengthy period.

�use replacement
!
The replacement fuse must always have the cor-
rect rating as marked on the rating plate: 500 mA
(FF) 600 V HBC 50 kA (6,3 x 32 mm). Do not press
<TE�T> during fuse replacement.
1. Switch off the FSA 050. Remove the measurement
leads and rubber cover (Fig. 1, Pos. 7).
2. Remove the battery cover screws (2x) and detach
the battery cover.
3. Carefully remove the defective fuse and press a new
one into the fuse holder.
4. Re-attach the battery cover and secure with the
screws.
5. Re-attach the rubber cover.

Cleaning
!
Always switch off the FSA 050 for cleaning.
The housing and the LCD of the FSA 050 are only to
be cleaned using a soft cloth and neutral cleaning
agents. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents and coarse
workshop cloths. The rubber cover can be removed for
cleaning purposes.

Do not use alcohol-based cleaning agents, as these
could leave residue.
