8. Can I use the hair removal device
on a dark or black skin?
Do not use the device on naturally dark skin. The hair removal device
removes hair by targeting hair pigment. Pigments are also found in the surrounding
dermal tissue in various quantities. The amount of pigment in the dermis of a person
visible by his skin colour makes it possible to define the level of risk to which he is being
exposed while using the hair removal device
. Treating dark skin with the
hair removal device
may cause burns, blisters or a change in skin colour
(hyper or hypo-pigmentation). An exclusive safety device - a skin colour detector - has
been designed inside the hair removal device
to check the colour of the skin
at the beginning of each session and occasionally during the current session. When the
device detects a darker area, the sensor disables the hair removal device
which then cannot issue any flash.
9. When will I start seeing results with the hair removal device
?
As with any other method of hair removal by the light (laser or pulsed light), the results
are not instant; and you might even have the impression that nothing has happened.
The hair sometimes gives the impression of continuing to grow after a session, but after
two weeks, most of these hairs will simply fall off. Moreover, the hair growth is done
in 3 phases and only hairs found in the active phase are affected by the hair removal
device
; which is why it is necessary to multiply the sessions to achieve the
expected result.
10. Can a man use the hair removal device
?
The hair removal device
is suitable for men, but male hairs, especially on
the torso, require a greater number of sessions to achieve the desired results.
