Trough Assembly Instructions
*Glue to connect sections of pipe larger than 1.5" (Trough and Tank)
6. Place pipe in front of the partially assembled system. Orient pipes so that the bell end of each pipe is on
the opposite end of where the sump will be installed. Ensure the pre marked cut lines are aligned!
Clean and glue each connection with PVC cleaner, PVC primer, and PVC cement.
DO NOT DISTURB PVC PIPE UNTIL GLUE HAS COMPLETED CURED
If cut lines are not pre marked on pipe, align the text on the pipes and proceed to clean,
prep, and glue pipe. Then place pipe into trough brackets. Remove page 22 (Trough Cut
Guide) from this manual and using a utility knife remove the section in black in the
middle. Use the opening in the paper to index the cut lines with the text printed on the
trough. Mark each end of the trough then using a chalk line mark the cut lines across the
trough.
7. Place assembled trough into trough brackets. Rotate until cut lines are oriented upward.
8. Mark the horizontal cuts to align with the rough opening.
9. Drill (4) ½" Relief holes at the corners of the cut markings.
10. Using a circular or jig saw cut the marked section from the trough leaving a minimum of 7" on the cap end
and 12" on the sump end.
