Question/problem - Cause
Cause
The pump does not turn on:
• The power cord is not plugged in or there is an
electrical failure;
• The water level is lower than the suction level. The
float switch is not activated;
The pump turns off suddenly:
• The overload relay has switched off the pump due to
overheating;
The appliance starts but does not pump any water:
• The water outlet hose is bent or clogged;
• Air is blocking water from being taken in;
• The suction base is clogged with debris;
• The water level is lower than the suction level;
The pump does not turn off:
• The float switch is stuck and is unable to drop along
with the water level;
Not enough water is being transferred:
• The suction base is clogged with debris;
• The pump's power is reduced due to the water being
extremely dirty and mixed with abrasive substances;
The pump automatically shuts off after it has only been
running for a short amount of time:
• The motor protection relay switches it off due to
excessive dirt in the water;
• The temperature of the water is too high, so the
overload relay turns it off;
Solution
• Check the plug, socket and circuit breaker of the supply
circuit;
• The water level must be higher than the suction level;
• While letting the pump cool down, unplug the power
cord and clean the impeller;
Do not let the temperature of the water exceed 35°C;
• Insert the hose correctly and clean it;
• When submerging the pump, you should tilt it slightly
to ensure that the water gets into the impeller chamber.
If necessary, tilt the pump backwards and forwards
several times until no more air bubbles appear.
• Clean up the debris from the suction base;
• Lower the pump;
• Release the float switch so that it is free to move along
with the water level;
• Clean up the debris from the suction base;
• Clean the water pump and used parts;
• Unplug and clean the pump and the well;
• Do not let water temperature exceed 35°C;
