» Connection of the RS485 network
RS 485
It is possible to connect several WM-UH-ECM
controls together and control them simultane-
ously by transmitting the settings to a supervi-
sory system and vice versa.
In case of RS485 connection (with supervisory
system) the network must be closed on the last
machine.
It is closed by closing the MC2 jumper.
Furthermore, when a network is set up, it is im-
portant that each unit has a unique address so
that the software can recognize it and therefore
manage it.
There are two microswitch blocks on the circuit
board of each unit: D1 is used to configure the
wished type of operation; D2 is used to define
the address number of each unit.
The assignment works according to the binary
method: the number is defined by setting the
different Dip switches to On or Off.
