c)
When they are not being used, store rechargeable battery units away from paperclips,
coins, keys. nails, screws or other small metal objects that could cause the contacts to be
bridged. Short-circuiting the contacts of a rechargeable battery unit may result in heat damage or
fire.
d)
Fluids may leak out of rechargeable battery units if they are misused. If this happens, avoid
contact with the fluid. If contact occurs, flush the affected area with water. Seek additional
medical help if any of the fluid gets into your eyes. Escaping battery fluid may cause skin
irritation or burns.
e)
Damaged or modified battery systems or tools must not be used. Damaged or modified
batteries can behave unexpectedly, which may result in fire, explosion or the risk of injury.
f)
Battery systems or tools must not be exposed to fire or excessive temperatures. Exposure to
fire or temperatures exceeding 130 °C may cause an explosion.
g)
You must follow all the charging instructions and refrain from charging the battery or tools
outside the temperature range specified in the instructions for use. Incorrect charging or
charging at temperatures outside the specified range can damage the battery and increase the risk
of fire.
6) Service
a)
Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement
parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
b)
Damaged battery systems must never be repaired. Battery systems should only be repaired by
the manufacturer or an authorised servicing facility.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES FOR DRILLS
1) Safety instructions for all work activities
a)
When working with impact drill, use ear defenders. Exposure to noise might cause loss of
hearing.
b)
Use additional handle supplied with the power tool. Loss of control might cause injury.
c)
Hold the device by the insulated gripping surfaces when performing work in which the
cutting tool may come into contact with hidden wiring. Contact with a live wire can also cause
a charge in metal parts of the device and result in an electric shock.
d)
Use suitable detectors in order to find hidden supply lines or ask the local utility company.
Contact with electrical cables can lead to electric shock and fire, contact with a gas pipe can result
in an explosion. Damage to a water pipe can lead to property damaged and electric shock.
e)
Keep hands away from rotating parts. Wait until the power tool has stopped before placing
it down. Risk of injury!
f)
Avoid contact with the tool insert or the component part immediately after processing. The
parts may be hot and cause burn injuries.
g)
Immediately switch off the power tool if the tool insert is blocked due to overloading or
tilting of the component part. Be prepared for high reaction torque that can cause kickback.
The loss of control can result in injuries.
h)
Secure the workpiece. A workpiece clamped with clamping devices or in a vice is held more
secure than by hand.
i)
When working with the machine, always hold it firmly with both hands and provide for a
secure stance. The power tool is guided more secure with both hands.
2) Safety instructions when using long drills
a)
Never use the machine at speeds higher than the maximum rated drill speed. At higher
speeds, the drill is likely to bend if it is allowed to rotate freely in contact with the workpiece, which
can result in personal injury.
b)
At the beginning of drilling, the speed must always be low, and the tip of the drill must
touch the workpiece. At higher speeds, the drill is likely to bend if it is allowed to rotate freely
without being in contact with the workpiece, which can result in personal injury.
c)
It is only necessary to push in a straight line with the drill and must not be subjected to
excessive pressure. The drills can bend and crack or cause loss of control, which can result in
personal injury.
