HOW TO USE THE MACHINE
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for
any damage resulting from:
• Improper use or uses different from those indi-
cated in this manual.
• Repair carried out by non-qualified personnel
different from the authorized retailer.
• Tampering of the power cord.
• Tampering of any component.
• Use of non-original spare parts and accesso-
ries.
• Lack of maintenance, cleaning and decalci-
fication.
• Storage in premises lower than 0°C.
• Use of capsules different from Essse Sistema
Espresso's ones.
Warranty will be invalidated under these cir-
cumstances.
UNPACKING AND POSITIONING
Remove the machine from the packaging and
check all the components are present and
that they do not show any sign of breakage.
The packaging components may cut or cause
injury if they're not handled carefully.
Position the machine on a stable and flat sur-
face, away from water, flames and sources
of heat. The machine must never be covered
with cloths or other while it is on.

Raise the tank cover and extract the tank itself.
If present, insert the anti-calc filter following the
instructions supplied with the filter.

Fill the water tank until the indicated MAX level,
only using drinkable fresh water. It is possible to
raise the cover and to fill the tank directly.
Make sure the ON/OFF switch is in OFF po-
sition.
The water level must never exceed the MAX level. Exclusively use drinkable fresh wa-
ter. Hot water, as well as other liquids, may cause damage to the tank. Do not operate
the machine without water.

ing the power plug into the power socket,
first checking the voltage indicated in the
label placed on the bottom of the machine.

Press the ON/OFF switch, setting it to ON po-
sition.
On the display will appear the animated Essse
Caffè logo. The machine will start to heat. After
a few tens of seconds, the Ready screen will
appear on the display.
From this moment on, the machine is ready for
use.
FIRST START-UP
At the first start-up of the machine, after a
prolonged non-use or in the case of complete
exhaustion of the water in the tank, it is nec-
essary to load water as shown below. This
operation allows to renew the small quantity
of water present inside the circuit.

Check that the water tank is full and
make sure it is positioned in its seat.
Position a mug in the mug grid, then open the
capsule insertion cursor.

Insert the Essse Sistema Espresso capsule in the cap-
sule insertion compartment and close the cursor.

Start automatic brewing by selecting one of the
drinks present in the Menu or My Menu section of
the Ready screen.
ENERGY CONSERVATION

After 10 minutes of inactivity (default) the ma-
chine enters energy conservation mode. The dis-
play will turn off in such mode.

Touching the display will make the machine exit
fixed standby mode, the machine is ready for
use.
