1 . Place the child car seat in rear-facing position on the car seat and adjust
it to the maximum angle (R) and release the belt system from the child
car seat.
2 . Take the car 3-point belt and extend it to the maximum length.
3 . Pass the 3-point belt between the seat shell and the base under the child
car seat's belt system and insert the 3-point belt's buckle into the car
seat belt buckle until it audibly engages.
4 . Then take the diagonal belt and thread it through the green marked dia-
gonal belt guide on the seat shell and then through the belt clip on the
same side of the child car seat. Before releasing the belt clip, pull the
3-point belt as tight as possible and make sure that the child car seat
is pressed fi rmly against the backrest of the car seat and that there is
no gap.
5 . Open the child car seat's harness system.
6 . Place the child in the child car seat.
7 . Make sure that the harness system and the head restraint are correctly
adjusted as previously described.
8 . Close the harness buckle again until you hear a click.
9 . Pull the front adjustment strap to tighten the straps. Make sure that the
straps are not twisted.
10 . After each insertion of the child, make sure that the car's 3-point belt is
under tension and that the child car seat has optimum support.
EXTREME DANGER
We recommend installing the child car seat on the rear seat of the vehicle.
DO NOT attach the child car seat for rear-facing use for children 40 to 105
cm in height on a front seat where there is an airbag. It may be used on the
front seat if the airbag can be deactivated. Please refer to the vehicle man-
ual for more information about this.
