The cleanout function is used to remove the last remaining
pellets from the pellet hopper and auger tube.

unit is powered on.

will be fed through the burn pot into the 5-gallon bucket below.
you can shut off the Clean Out function at any time. You must reinsert
the ash tray back in place before starting the unit. Failure to insert the
tray back may cause fire and body injury.
IMPORTANT TO NOTE:
• The unit must be OFF, the AC adapter unplugged, and the battery
removed before cleaning out the hopper manually.
• The unit must be cool before the Clean Out function is initiated. Do not
use this function during startup or cooking foods. Failure to do so may
cause fire inside the fire pot and cause damage to your pellet grill.
• Place a container large enough to hold the discarded pellets under
the pellet clean-out fire pot opening. Pull the ash tray spring and
then slide the ash tray forward to align the ash tray clean out directly
under the fire pot to remove any ash. (Note: Release the spring pin as
soon as you start to pull the tray forward to lock the tray into the ash
clean-out position). Pull the ash tray spring pin once more to remove
the tray completely out from the unit to empty the ash. See the
Prime550 Pellet Clean Out section for details.
