Preparing for welding
For a correct welding, ALL the following steps must be carried out:
1.
Cut the pipe at right angles with the
special pipe cutter.
2.
Scrape
homogeneously down to at least 1
cm (0.39 in) in excess of the pipe
inserting length in the fitting by using
the scraper.
3.
Mark the welding length on the pipe
(length equal to half the coupler
length) with the special marker pen.
4
.
Remove any mud, dust, grease or
other traces of dirt from the pipe
ends and the fitting inside.
5.
Lock the pipes with the special
aligner after inserting the fitting and
keep them locked throughout the
welding cycle and the subsequent
cooling time.
6.
It is now possible to weld the fitting
on the pipes, by inserting the cables
with connectors in the fitting turns
and checking the welding time and
voltage.
