Error codes / common problems
The multifunction welding units have a number of safety systems to monitor welding and
welding parameter entry. Error codes are always displayed on the screen. To delete a
displayed error code, disconnect the fitting and press ESCAPE ESC when prompted.

ERROR DESCRIPTION
During printing, it shows that welding has
been successfully completed.
Ambient temperature is either lower than
-10°C or higher than +45°C.
Current has exceeded the limit
(partial fitting short-circuit or fitting made
by other manufacturers).
The fitting might be faulty or the welding
cables might not be correctly connected to
the fitting.
Extension cable out of tolerance.
The welding unit memory has reached the
maximum number of welds stored.
INSIDE
The
inside
multifunction welding unit is over 80°C.
A power failure has occurred during
welding.
The memory does not contain any data to
be downloaded.
ESC has been pressed during the welding
cycle.
The power source voltage is higher or
OFF
lower than the nominal operating voltage
by 20%.
You are trying to weld a fitting made by
another manufacturer.
The fitting resistance is out of the
permitted range of values or the welding
cables are not correctly connected to the
fitting.

RECOMMENDED ACTION
No action required.
Check that the temperature indicated on
the welding unit screen is consistent
with the actual ambient temperature.
Prevent direct exposure to sunlight. If
the ambient temperature indicated by
the welding unit is not correct, contact
our Technical Assistance.
Replace the fitting.
Check the connection to the fitting.
Check the efficiency of the connectors.
Check that the extension diameter and
length are within the recommended
range of values.
Download the welding data as soon as
possible or press ESC to continue
welding.
Wait for the welding unit to cool down.
After restoring normal power input
parameters, wait for the fitting to cool
down completely before repeating the
welding procedure from the start.
No welding data can be downloaded or
printed.
Wait for the fitting to cool down
completely before repeating the welding
procedure from the start.
Make sure that the power source or the
generator are operating efficiently.
Check the type of fitting to be welded.
Check that the connectors are correctly
plugged into the fitting and scan the
fitting barcode again; should this not
work, replace the fitting. If this problem
