SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
GENERAL SAFETY RULES
WARNING It's forbidden for children, people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabi-
lities, people without sufficient experience or knowledge or people not familiar with the risks
•
Carefully read all device instructions and the manual before trying to assemble or use the machine.
Keep this manual in a safe place for future use and consult them regularly.
•
Before every use, familiarise yourself with all controls and check their functioning properly.
•
Know how to stop the device and cut power in emergencies.
•
For household use only.
•
To avoid any contact with the blades or projected objects, it is essential to stay behind the control
area (levers, handle) and stop anyone within 15m from approaching the machine when it's in ope-
ration Immediately stop the engine if anyone enters the work area.
•
To start your machine safely, please tilt and keep both hands on the operating position before retur-
ning the machine to the floor.
•
Please do not lean too far forward, remain stable at all times, be careful with your footing on slopes.
•
Please never run with the machine in your hand.
•
Grasp the handles firmly to control the machine, do not try and use it with one hand. The device may
jump if it comes into contact with a buried stone, very compact soil, roots or a stump.
•
Carefully inspect the area where the machine will be used. Remove any object that may interfere
with the work, damage the blades or be thrown by it (pebbles, stones, branches, ropes, toys etc.).
The thrown objects may cause serious injuries.
•
Before each use, you must check the general state of the engine, the state of the rollers, bolts hol-
ding them as well as the power cord. If you notice any damage to the power supply or the plug, do
not connect the machine to the mains.
•
Avoid using the machine in poor weather conditions, particularly if there's a risk of lightening.
•
Your aerator/scarifier must be powered by an extension cord. Using an improper extension cord
could result in a risk of fire and electric shock.
•
When using an extension cord, check that:
- The pins of the extension are the same number, shape and dimensions as those of the socket.
- The extension cord is properly wired and in good condition.
- The extension cord must interfere with the device's route.
- The length of the extension cord must not exceed 50m.
•
Before connecting the plug to the mains, you must check that the power supply to your room
conforms with the values indicated on the machine's labels.
•
It is best to only connect the machine to a power supply circuit protected by a residential current
device (RCD) where the current is tripped at 30mA or less.
•
Always wear a mask to protect your eyes during operations, repairs or maintenance. Small objects
thrown can be dangerous, especially for your eyes.
•
Don't wear jewellery or oversized clothes to avoid them getting stuck in moving parts. It's recom-
mended to wear gloves and safety shoes.
•
During use, you must not have bare feet or wear sandals or canvas shoes. Most accidents occur
when the user slips or stumbles without releasing the handle. If you fall, immediately release the
handle to cut the engine.
