performance is guaranteed only if all the instructions provided in this manual are closely adhered to.

herein. Use protective work gloves, protective footwear, hard hat and safety goggles.

is considered improper.
- The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for any damage caused by the incorrect or
unreasonable use of the equipment.
- Moreover, misuse shall also void the warranty.
Take care of your tools:
- Be sure to store your tools in a clean state.
- Place the tools inside their original package.
PROCEDURE
The tool set for the disassembly and assembly of the DSG (Direct-Shift Gearbox) was designed to
remove the clutch casing, including the discs, of 7-speed (code 0AM), 7-speed S-TRONIC (code 0CW),
manual, 6-speed, in oil bath (code 02E), 6 rapporti manuale (code 08D and 06A) VAG gearboxes, dual
clutches (K1 and K2) and multiple shafts used in cars of the VAG Group since 2003.
K1 = Clutch no.1
K2 = Clutch no.2
DUAL CLUTCH DISASSEMBLY (0AM – 0CW – 08D – 06A)
Warning: when removing the gearbox, closely adhere to the instructions provided by
the car maker/manufacturer.
- Place the gearbox on a suitable workbench and position it so that the clutch casing bell faces upwards.
- Remove the upper safety ring of the clutch disc hub (K1) using a screwdriver or a hook.
- Remove the safety ring and the clutch disc hub (K1).
- Use pliers BETA 1458 to remove the safety ring of the main outer shaft.
If the safety ring is locked, press on the center of the clutch using components 5 and 6 , assembled
directly on the clutch casing bell.
Make sure the cross member is properly secured and that the thrust bushing works perpendicular to
the clutch casing bell.
Warning: lubricate the drive screw and press it only as much as necessary to avoid
damage to the main outer shaft support and the gearbox.
- Fit extractor 1 into the clutch unit and lock it into place by turning it clockwise.
- Act on the extractor's screw and remove the clutch unit of the main outer shaft.
