KNOW YOUR GENERATOR
See Figure 2.
The safe use of this product requires an understanding of the
information on the product and in this operator's manual as
well as a knowledge of the project you are attempting. Before
use of this product, familiarize yourself with all o perating
features and safety rules.
AC CIRCUIT BREAKERS
The circuit breakers are provided to protect the generator
against electrical overload. The circuit breaker may be reset
by pressing the circuit breaker reset button.
AIR FILTER
The air filter helps to limit the amount of dirt and dust drawn
into the unit during operation.
ANSI/UL-2201 CERTIFIED
This generator complies with the ANSI/UL-2201 Standard
for Low Carbon Monoxide (CO) Emission Rates for portable
generators. When used properly, portable generators with
lowered CO emissions and CO shutoff capability mitigate
the risk of CO related poisoning.
DANGER:
ANSI/UL 2201 compliance is not a substitute for safe
generator practices. Always operate the generator in
open, outdoor areas, at least 20 feet away from occu-
pied structures. Never operate the generator near open
windows, doors, or other unventilated spaces.
AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF
The generator's carbon monoxide sensor is designed to
monitor the level of carbon monoxide present during genera-
tor operation. If the unit is positioned incorrectly and carbon
monoxide levels rise to an unsafe level, the LED on the sensor
will flash red and the generator will automatically shut down.
Leave the area immediately and relocate to an open outdoor
area. Ventilate the area thoroughly before occupying again.
Ensure the generator is located in an open, outdoor area at
least 20 feet away from all doors, windows, and occupied
spaces, and point exhaust away from occupied structures
before restarting.
FEATURES
GENERATOR
Rated Voltage ...................................................120 V/240 V
Rated Amps ................................................... 58.3 A/29.1 A
Rated Output*..........................................................7000 W
Starting Watts ..........................................................8750 W
Rated Frequency ........................................................60 Hz
NOTE: After a shutoff event has occured, the LED will con-
tinue to flash red for up to 20 minutes. Once the generator
is relocated and CO levels are safe, the generator can be
restarted even if the light is still flashing.
BATTERY CHARGING FUSE
The battery charge circuit fuse protects the battery.
BATTERY MAINTAINER
Using the battery maintainer when storing the generator helps
keep your generator's battery charged and ready at all times.
CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR LIGHT
The LED indicator light in the control panel will illuminate to indi-
cate a fault in the engine's fuel injection system. Please contact
customer service or a qualified service center for assistance.
DIGITAL DISPLAY
The digital display shows AC voltage output, frequency, how
long the engine has been running during the current usage
period, and the total number of hours the unit has been used.
ENGINE SWITCH
The engine switch is used alone or in combination with the
recoil starter grip to start the engine. It is also used to turn
the engine off.
FUEL TANK
The fuel tank has a capacity of 6 gallons.
FUEL VALVE
Fuel flow from the fuel tank to the engine is turned on and
off using the fuel valve.
GROUND TERMINAL
The ground terminal is used to assist in properly grounding the
generator to help protect against electrical shock. Consult with a
qualified local electrician for grounding requirements in your area.
LOW OIL SHUT DOWN PROTECTOR
The low oil sensor causes the engine to stop if the level of
lubricant in the crankcase is insufficient.
