Translation of the original instructions
What is «TEST CODE»?
It allows you to retrieve the test data in the form of a computer table:
A. Insert the supplied CD into the computer's drive.
B. Open the table.
C. Scan the receipt's barcode (previously printed) using a barcode reader or enter the code in the computer table's
first cell.
D. The test results are displayed.
3. Select YES or NO using the arrow keys to print the result and press «ENTER».
4. Press «ENTER» to return to the main menu.
24 V battery test
To test a 24 V battery composed of two individual 12 V batteries wired in series, the tester must perform two separate
tests on each of the batteries.
1. Select «BATTERY TEST» from the main menu and select «BATTERY PACK. 24 V».
2. Connect the negative and positive clamps to the 24 V battery pack's terminals. Press OK to start the test.
3. The display screen will show «CONNECT BATTERY 1».
4. Connect the clamps to the first 12 V battery.
5. Press the
keys to select «REGULAR / STANDARD» or «START / STOP».
6. Press the
keys to select the battery type. Press «ENTER» to confirm.
7. Press the
keys to select the standard (EN, CCA, BCI, CA, MCA, JIS, DIN, IEC, SAE or GB).
8. Press the
keys to enter the battery's capacity, shown in Ampere-hours (Ah).
9. Confirm the ambient temperature is above 0°C (32°F) by pressing «ENTER».
10. Follow the same procedure for battery no. 2. Then print out the receipt showing both results.
TESTING THE ALTERNATOR CHARGING SYSTEM
1. Select «SYSTEM TEST» in the main menu.
2. Ensure that all consumers are off before starting the engine, such as the headlights, lights, air conditioning system
and the radio, etc.
3. When the engine is running, one of the following three results will be displayed:
Results displayed
Normal starting volts
Low starting voltage
No starting voltage detected
4. Press «ENTER» to begin the charging system test.

Normal starting voltage when the test
is performed on an idle power source.
Low starting voltage when the test is
performed on an idle power source.

Analysis
The voltage is normal. Press «ENTER» to carry out a load circuit test.
The voltage is below the limit. Configure the starter following the
manufacturer's instructions.
The starting voltage is not detected. Restart the unit.

Analysis
Check that the connections are good. If eve-
ry-thing is properly connected, replace the
regulator.
No problem detected. Alternator is operating
normally.
The alternator is not providing enough power to
the battery. Check the belts and ensure that the
alternator is running when the engine is on. If
the belts slip out of place or are broken, replace
and re-test them. Check the connection between
the alternator and the battery. If the connection
is bad, clean or replace the cable and re-test. If
the alternator belts and connections are in good
condition, replace the alternator.
